Orienteering with Leon and Irene

Hi bloggers today  on the 30th of November we did Orienteering with Leon. Today Leon had a helper who does the timing , her name is Irene. She made sure that the maps were in order. For orienteering it was really hard for most of us because we didn't face the map to north. So we had to buddy up with someone else in pairs of two's. Then the person with the paper clipper they have to go first , well there other buddy has to wait for you to come back at the hall steps.You both have to do 8 each than your done.I really enjoy orienteering because we get to run a lot and have fun .Thanks to Leon for Orienteering.

THE SOCK PUPPET FAIL.

Yesterdayday hay park school had so much fun at the crazy world of scient's. The man who was presenting the show  was the scientist called Richard. He was so amazing that he had fifty cents in his hand then it wasn't there. So what happened to our SOCK PUPPET FAIL, what we did was a sock puppet , recording of our selves saying, what we learn't about grain. When we were listening to our recording would always have a  a mistake.So then we keep on trying and trying just to get it right.So when we got to the end we were almost finished. Then after that we were meant, to press save but then ,we pressed pause then that was when, we had the SOCK PUPPET FAIL.

Our four days experience about the chicks.

Kiora and welcome back bloggers .


On the 14th  of August Hay Park School had nine or ten chicks to hatch in their class.Every on was so excited about the baby chicks.When we got the eggs they were put in the incubator.If you don't know what a incubator is search it up.Yesterday the egg monitors got to hold the chick and put them in the box to clean it out.Today when i looked at the chicks they were so fluffy and cute.

Teaching the juniors in Bishop class

Ola bloggers and welcome back to week two!

Today my class and I worked alongside Bishop class (Year 2/3) as part of a Tuakana/Teina session.

Tuakana means your older brother or sister and Teina means you little sister or brother.

First we discussed how to be effective Tuakana. I learned that I have to be clear about what they are doing and my instructions have to be clear and to encourage them while they are talking.

The biggest challenge I came across was telling them what to do and how to do it.

Next week I am looking forward to seeing the juniors do there own stop go animation.

Embedding a google drawing

KIA Ora my fellow bloggers .  Today i have been learning how to embed a google drawing into a blog post. This was challenging because i learned how to do this last year but i forgotten all of the steps. I really enjoyed doing a quiq refresher lesson with Miss Fortes. This is a google drawing i created. It is about part of our school culture.
